Sulitista gives stores a permanent storefront, earned by acting in good faith rather than handed out by default. This page covers how that’s enforced. For what you can and can’t sell, see the Listing Rules.

For buyers: how to stay safe

Sulitista is a publishing tool, not an escrow service. We don’t hold payments or guarantee a transaction. Every sale is arranged directly between you and the store, however you choose to complete it:

  • Meeting up? Choose a public, well-lit place, and bring someone with you if you can.
  • Paying before you receive the item (bank transfer, GCash, a deposit)? That’s the point where you’re most exposed, so avoid paying in full until you’ve seen the item, if the store’s willing.
  • Cash on delivery? Inspect the item before you hand over payment, and don’t accept a parcel that looks tampered with or doesn’t match what you ordered.
  • Where is the store based? A store’s location is set when it registers and can only be updated every 90 days, so you can plan a meetup around it. The store declares its location and Sulitista doesn’t verify it, so the advice to meet in a public place applies either way.
  • A link or QR code from someone you don’t know? Don’t open or scan it. Only scan a payment QR code that the store you’re buying from shows you, and check the name in your payment app before you confirm.

For stores: dealing with joy miners

“Joy miner” (or “bogus buyer”) means someone who reserves an item with real-sounding interest, then never follows through. It comes up often enough that it’s worth addressing directly, not pretending it doesn’t happen.

  • Someone wants it held? Only mark it Reserved once there’s something concrete behind the ask: a deposit sent, or a firm pickup/payment time, not just a comment or a “mine.”
  • Filtering interest from intent? Asking for proof of funds ready, or a specific time they’ll pay, weeds out most joy miners without turning away a real buyer.
  • Same buyer stalls again? You’re not obligated to keep holding stock for them. Moving on to the next interested buyer is reasonable, not rude.
  • A buyer sends you a link or QR code “to pay you”? That is a scam. Getting paid never needs you to scan a code or log in to anything. Don’t open it, and tell Sulitista on the Contact page.

Your store’s location

Your location tells buyers where they can meet you, so it has to reflect where you actually operate. It’s set when you register, and you can update it every 90 days. Sulitista only shows the province and city, never a home address. Buyers trust a location they can rely on, and that helps every honest store.

For anything else, like several meetup spots or where you ship from, use Meetup areas and Payment & shipping on your storefront. Misrepresenting where you are can count against your store under the steps below.

Blog posts

Stores on the Suki Boss plan can write a blog on their storefront. A post is part of your store, so the same rules apply to it as to a product, and anyone can report it from the post.

  • Don’t name and shame people. If a buyer let you down, tell Sulitista on the Contact page. Posting a person’s name, photo, messages or contact details can hurt a real person, and it can get you into legal trouble.
  • The product rules apply to posts too. The rules about brands, replicas and prohibited items cover what you write in a post, not only what you list.
  • Write for people. Posts that are copied, spun or made in bulk just to rank on Google can be taken down. Search engines judge the whole site, so they hurt every store.
  • Links are checked. Each link in a post is checked for safety when you save it and again when someone clicks it. If a link stops being safe, the post goes offline until you fix it. Nothing is deleted.
  • Affiliate and paid links are welcome, with a note. Tick “This post has affiliate or paid links” so readers know. Links in posts are marked as sponsored for search engines. Only links, photos and videos work: you can’t paste ad code.
  • Photos and videos. Use photos you have the right to use. Videos can come from YouTube or Vimeo.
  • No comments. Posts don’t have comments for now.

If a report about a post is checked and a broken rule is found, it can count against your store, in the same steps as any other report. If a store is suspended or banned, its blog comes down with it.

Respect: no hate speech

Sulitista is for buying and selling, not for attacking people. Don’t post anything that puts down, threatens or harasses a person or a group because of who they are. That includes their race or tribe, where they come from or the language they speak, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or social class.

This covers everything a buyer or reader can see:

  • Your store name, tagline and descriptions
  • Product titles and descriptions
  • Blog posts
  • Words written inside a photo
  • Products. Don’t sell items made to put down a group of people. An old book, a costume or a vintage piece is not a problem by itself. Using it to attack people is. When it’s unclear, it is looked at in context.
  • Harassment. Don’t threaten or harass a buyer, another store or anyone else. Don’t post a person’s name, photo, messages or contact details.
  • Blogs. A blog is part of your store. Calling something your opinion doesn’t make it allowed.
  • How it’s handled. Hate speech is a serious issue. If a report is checked and hate speech is found, your store gets a heavy strike. It stays on the record for 24 months. Repeated or very serious cases can move your store up the steps in “What happens when a store breaks a rule”.

Don’t work around the rules

The rules apply to everything on your page, including text, links and QR codes inside photos. Hiding a problem doesn’t make it allowed.

  • Links and QR codes in photos. A photo may show your own payment QR code (GCash, Maya, a bank) and your own contact details. Don’t use a photo to send buyers anywhere else. That means another shop, a site that asks for card details or logins, or a page that sells prohibited items.
  • Disguised words. Don’t spell out a banned brand or a prohibited item with spaces, symbols or odd spelling. Don’t put it in a photo instead of text to avoid the rules.
  • Blog posts. Don’t use a post to sell or promote what the Listing Rules ban, or to send readers to sites that do. Affiliate and paid links are still welcome with the note described under Blog posts.
  • After a ban. A banned person can’t open another store, and a store that helps hide them can be taken down too.
  • False reports. Don’t report a store just because you compete with it. Reports made to hurt another store can count against yours.

Working around a rule is treated the same as breaking it. Trying to hide it can count against your store too.

Reporting a problem

Every storefront and product has a “Report” control. You don’t need an account to use it, just a way for us to reach you, since we can’t follow up on a thin report otherwise. Every report is looked into within about 48 hours, sooner for impersonation and safety issues. We don’t share the outcome of someone else’s report with the person who filed it, beyond a general “reviewed, action taken” or “no violation found.”

What happens when a store breaks a rule

A store’s record can carry a strike: light (clears after 12 months) or heavy (clears after 24 months), depending on how serious the issue was. Enough strikes, or one serious issue, moves a store through this ladder:

  • Flagged: internal only, nothing visible, no response needed from the store.
  • Under review: the storefront stays up, but new listings are paused for up to 72 hours while the store responds from its dashboard.
  • Suspended: the storefront comes down. Reversible: reply from the dashboard and it is reviewed within 24–48 hours.
  • Banned: for serious or repeated issues. There’s a 24-hour window to contest it before it’s final. After that, it’s permanent, and the account can’t be recreated.

A store gets a chance to respond before anything permanent, and most reviews close with no action at all.

The Verified badge

A store is Verified once its owner’s ID has been checked. It’s never something a store can buy. Verified stores can invite friends to Sulitista, and only Verified stores can be promoted in search. A store loses the badge if it’s flagged, suspended or banned. The check shows that a real adult stands behind the store. It does not mean the store is honest, so the safety tips above still apply.

Invite people you think would do well here. Sulitista keeps track of the stores that join through your link, including any that are not approved or banned, to keep the community healthy. If many stores under one link are banned, Sulitista may pause, replace or close that link.

Appeals

If you think a decision was wrong, reply from your dashboard. Every notice we send links straight there. Every appeal is reviewed.
